Welcome to On Stage Media!
Every performance has a story. We help you remember it.
Specialist dance and performing arts photography and videography across Australia.
Behind every performance are hours of rehearsals, dedication and anticipation. There are costumes carefully chosen, steps practised over and over, and the excitement of finally taking the stage.
At On Stage Media Australia, we capture the moments that bring it all together—the movement, the expression, the achievement and the joy.
From a dancer’s first solo to a full-scale theatre production, we create photographs and videos that allow performers and their families to revisit the experience long after the curtain closes.
Dance is at the heart of what we do
Our connection to dance goes beyond the camera.
OSMA founder and director Alicia Power brings over 35 years of experience in the performing arts to the business. As a dancer, dance teacher and dance parent, she understands the dedication behind every routine, the importance of timing and technique, and what these moments mean to performers and their families.
Photographing performances since 2015, Alicia combines her extensive dance background with more than a decade of photography experience to capture the movement, expression and emotion that make each performance unique.
That understanding guides our approach across OSMA. We appreciate the preparation, courage and heart it takes to step onto the stage, whether it’s a young dancer’s first appearance or an experienced performer’s final bow.
Capturing Performances Across Australia
Each year, OSMA covers more than 300 dance competition and performing arts event days, including over 20 competitions and more than 100 concert performances.
From local competitions to large performing arts productions, our work is shaped by the practical demands of live events. We understand busy schedules, changing stage lighting, quick transitions and the importance of being ready when a moment happens.
Led by Alicia, our team captures individual routines, troupe performances and concert productions, creating lasting memories for performers, families and studios.
Photography, Videography and Event Support
Our services are designed around the needs of the dance and performing arts community.
Dance Competition Photography and Videography
We capture the technique, personality and energy of live performance, giving dancers and families the opportunity to preserve their favourite routines through professional photographs and videos.
With individual images and package options available, families can choose the performance memories that matter most to them.
Concerts and Performing Arts Productions
From studio concerts to theatre productions, we photograph and film the performances that bring months of preparation to life.
Our coverage celebrates the work of performers, teachers, choreographers and production teams, preserving both individual moments and the production as a whole.
Studio and Location Dance Photography
Dedicated dance photography gives performers the opportunity to showcase their individuality, technique and love of dance beyond the competition stage.
From studio portraits to creative sessions on location, we work with dancers and studios to create images that reflect their personality and style.
Adjudicator Video Critiques
We record adjudicator feedback alongside competition performances, providing dancers and teachers with a valuable resource to revisit after the event.
Video critiques bring the performance and feedback together, supporting reflection, learning and continued development.
Music Management
Our music upload and management services help competition organisers prepare for their events, providing a central process for collecting and organising performance music.
Supporting organisers, studios and families
We know that a successful event involves much more than what happens on stage.
For competition organisers and studios, we provide photography, videography and event support led by Alicia’s extensive experience in dance and performance photography.
We manage customer enquiries, ordering and media delivery directly, giving families a clear point of contact and reducing the administration passed back to organisers and studios.
For dancers and families, we aim to make finding and ordering performance memories straightforward, with event galleries, photo packages and video ordering options available through our website.
From preparing for an event to delivering the finished photographs and videos, we understand how much these memories matter.
